Dear Hip Hop

Dear Hip Hop over recent time
Each time I rhyme it feels like a crime
I should sign that were next in line
If you say were not
I’ll assume you’re lying
Cause I felt it in my heart
From the very start
And I’m way too smart to run blind in the dark
I’m not retarded here’s my confession
Put pen to paper to release aggression
Beautiful words to preserve the past
We may not make
But won’t come in last
Took off the mask to show the real me
Soccer’s gone got a grand pri
Found out by looking at my family tree that this life’s for me
I probably do things I shouldn’t
If you tell me to change
I wouldn’t
Doing things they said I couldn’t
Yeah I’ve changed I know it
Sitting in my room going over lyrics slowly
The only thing that keep me level ground
At the moment
I miss her, I miss it
Miss everything had
Alone every night writing letters to my past.

  1. Wow Sean,
Great flow! It seems like your writing/rhyming is a great way for you to tap into different things going on in your life and to make sense of the way you are thinking...this will help you for years to come. Keep up the good work!
