The Beauty of a Hand

One thing that is beautiful in my eyes is the way you can just look at a hand and see their pain, but most of all you can see their life. How they lived it, how the happy time will overwhelm you, and how no matter what happens they can say they had a good life. These thing are what are beautiful none of that shiny stuff. You know that saying “the eyes are the window to the soul” well the hands are the same. When you look into an elders hand you may just see wrinkles and old skin but that is only because you are not looking that hard, and if you really want to see it you have to believe that you can. You may mistake this for some kind of fortune teller trick, or something like that and if you want to you can go and believe that I will not stop you. But I will say this “It doesn’t hurt to try to do something new”. Because when you see that old persons hand you will see how their life was or is. You would be able to go to the past with those stories of laughter and sadness that made them who they are now. You will be able to see all the hard work that they did in their life time you would see that cut that has scared them from the cartwheel that went bad. The tan line on their hand from wearing their wedding ring even after their spouse was dead just trying keep to that persons stories alive. You would not believe all of the stories that come from the smallest marking on the hand, and that there is one of the beautiful things from something no one would have ever thought had a meaning.
