“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” ― Albert Einstein
That is how my life plays out. Nothing was a miracle, until this year came. It was a miracle that I came back to school and I am already halfway done. It is a miracle that I’ve made this far after dropping out. No one really knows about me dropping out besides my mom and my mom’s close friends. I didn’t want to upset or disappoint and of my family. I have been through almost hell and back in my life. I think that is why I have made it this far because I have been through so much and it has made me stronger, and also who I am today. When I dropped out of high school, I knew I had messed up. I couldn’t take all the stress and I just needed a break. It wasn’t easy and my mom knew what I was going through.
A lot of people didn’t quite understand, but just know it was not easy and it was hard to come back. I was so disappointed in myself over a lot of things, but I think this was the biggest one. I made the wrong decision and yes everyone makes mistakes, but what you do with them or how you fix them is really what matters.
It is a miracle that I am as far as I am and made these good decisions. It wasn’t easy getting back into the swing of things, waking up early, doing school work, homework, and tests. It’s been a drag but I am going and going stronger than ever. I have a lot of people that are standing behind me and are there for me when things get tough and they are so proud of me for what I have done. I feel like everything that has happened last year has been nothing but a miracle. If not a miracle then I don’t know what it was. I have gotten this far and I am not giving up or going to start slacking, even when it gets tuff.
The day I graduate everyone will be cheering for me. Everyone is cheering me on now and trust me I am too! I am not ever going to give up on things when it gets tuff because I have learned it makes nothing better. It’s just a harder hole to climb out of.
I’m going to live my life as if everything is a miracle.
